The Management Team
Kerry Boyce, CPC, QPA
President/CEO: Kerry founded Boyce & Associates in 1989. He has earned the designation Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). Kerry attended Drake University and Arizona State University specializing in actuarial science and business administration, and completed the American Law Institute, Advanced Pension Law Course. In addition to ASPPA, Kerry's professional affiliations include the Arizona Employee Benefits Forum, Western Pension & Benefit Conference, and the 401(k) Committee of the Phoenix Tax Workshop. Kerry serves as the firm's lead technical expert and continues to maintain his proprietary pension administration software systems developed for the company's exclusive use.
Mark Roberts
Chief Operations Officer: Mark came to Boyce with over 20 years experience in providing profitable growth to companies throughout North America in a variety of industries. Mark has successfully served in the roles of President, COO, Vice President Sales and Marketing, new business development manager, product manager, world wide retail division manager, international sales manager, regional manager and unit sales manager. Mark has consistently led teams to leadership positions in the markets they serve through client centric approaches. Mark is involved in a number of associations in the Phoenix market like Phoenix Rotary 100, Boys Hope Girls Hope and is a member of Arizona Business leaders. Mark has taught Marketing at the College level and is nationally recognized for interactive consultative sales training programs. Mark serves the Boyce & Associates client partners and in house associates by driving service and process efficiencies. Mark is an author and public speaker. Mark graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an Executive Masters Degree.
Deana S. Cocks
Vice President of Operations: Deana brings with her more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and business management. Deana is involved in tracking and measuring the financial success of Boyce & Associates, as well as the development and implementation of new streamlined in-house accounting processes. Deana enjoys working as part of a team which includes leading, training and educating fellow employees. Deana believes all people strive to be their best and she thrives on confidence building, developing good relationships and helping individuals, as well as the team, achieve their goals. Deana has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Business Administration Management.
The New Business & Marketing Teams

Vice President of Marketing: Kerry serves as the firms Vice President of Marketing as well as being one of our senior technical staff. Kerry's exceptional attention to detail and brilliant advanced design capabilities allows our firm to stay on the cutting edge of the pension field. Kerry has been a featured speaker for numerous organizations including The American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA), The National Institute for Pension Administrators (NIPA), The Western Pension and Benefit Conference, The Institute of Management Accountants, Golden Gate University, Arizona Employee Benefits Forum, and The Institute of Certified Financial Planners. Kerry facilitates Continuing Education courses to Certified Public Accountants on Pension Law and updates.
LuAnne Smith
Marketing Coordinator: LuAnne brings over 8 years of sales and marketing experience to our firm. LuAnne serves as our Marketing Coordinator and also works closely with the New Business Team. LuAnne studied at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and obtained a degree in Business Administration. LuAnne has completed the Pension Administrator’s course with The American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).
The 401(k) Team
Bill Janowski, QKA, CEBS
Pension Analyst: Bill has twenty-five years of pension experience with an emphasis in Defined Contribution Plans. Bill serves as a Pension Analyst on our 401(k) Team. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Indiana University. Bill has earned the designation of Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) and his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Jane Parsons, QKA, QPA
Pension Analyst: Jane has eighteen years of pension experience with an emphasis on Defined Contribution plans. Jane serves as a Pension Analyst for our 401(k) Team. She has earned the designations of Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).
Demilles Brown
Pension Analyst: Demilles has 11 years of pension experience working for large and small organizations. His background includes both daily and balance forward administration utilizing various recordkeeping systems, plan documents and plan design. Demilles graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing.
The Advanced Design & Actuarial Team
Angela Jee, QKA, QPA, Team Leader
Senior Pension Consultant: Angela has 10 years of pension experience with an emphasis in advanced plan design and Defined Benefit Plans. Angela serves as Senior Consultant and Team Leader for our Advanced Design & Actuarial Team. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science from the University of Arizona. Angela is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) Education & Exams committee. She currently serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the topic of distributions. Angela has earned the designations of Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) from (ASPPA).
Dan Struble, FSA
Firm Actuary: Dan has 34 years of pension and actuarial experience and serves as the actuary for Boyce & Associates. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Dan has earned his Fellow Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation from The Society of Actuaries and obtained his enrolled actuary status from the Department of Labor and Department of Treasury in 1976.
Helen Daniels, APA
Pension Analyst: Helen has nine years of pension experience with an emphasis in Defined Benefit Plans. Helen is a Pension Analyst for our Advanced Design & Actuarial Team. Helen studied at De Anza College in Cupertino, California and California State University in Northridge, California. She has earned the designation of Accredited Pension Administrator (APA) from The National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA).
Elysse Michelson, QKA, QPA
Pension Analyst: Elysse has 18 years of pension experience with an emphasis in Defined Benefit Plans. She serves as a Pension Analyst for our Advanced Design & Actuarial Team. Elysse graduated with a degree from Salem State College. She has earned the designations of Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).
Lisa O'Brien
Pension Analyst: Lisa has 11 years of pension experience with an emphasis in Defined Benefit Plans. Lisa serves as a Pension Analyst for our Advanced Design & Actuarial Team. Lisa received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She studied at both the University of Arizona and the University of Phoenix. Lisa is currently working on obtaining her Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).
